TECNO has shared details about which phones will get the Android 16-based HiOS 16 update and when it will arrive.
The update schedule starts in the middle of 2026. The CAMON 40 series will get it first between April and June. Later in the year, from July to September, the CAMON 30 series and POVA 7 series will follow. This includes the CAMON 30S models as well.
Owners of foldable phones will have to wait a bit longer. The Phantom V Flip2 and Phantom V Fold2 are set to receive the update in the last three months of 2026. Other phones on the list include the POVA Curve 5G and POVA Slim 5G.
The company said that only newer phones will get the upgrade. Generally, devices launched in 2024 or after are eligible.
HiOS 16 comes with a fresh look and some useful new tools. The design focuses on smooth and simple navigation. There is a redesigned screen that puts productivity tools and AI features in one place. Translation tools are now built right into the system.

The Ella voice assistant also got an upgrade. It now understands context better and can offer helpful suggestions throughout the day. Users can ask Ella to manage daily tasks, handle WhatsApp messages, and even summarize YouTube videos.
