Sony has announced another round of price hikes for the PlayStation 5 in Southeast Asian markets, which includes the Philippines.

Last April 27, 2026, Sony released a new update regarding price increases in PlayStation 5 products, which will take effect on May 1, 2026.

In the press release, it was announced that the PlayStation 5 will now cost Php40,032 in the Philippines. That’s about Php10,000 higher than the console’s original price tag of Php30,790.

Sony cited the “continued pressures in the global economic landscape” as the reason for the price hikes.
