vivo China has introduced a new phone that we hope to also see here in the Philippines. Sporting a big battery, fast display, and 5G chip, please meet the vivo Y6 5G.
The vivo Y6 5G is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor, a 4nm chip clocked at 2.2GHz, and is paired with Adreno 613 GPU. You can get it with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of, sadly, non-expandable storage.
On the front, we have a 6.75-inch HD+ IPS display, with a high 120Hz refresh rate, and 1200-nit peak brightness.
Keeping the lights on is a big 7,200mAh battery, which can last up to 24 hours of watching TikTok continuously or 39.1 hours of voice calls. It is paired with 44W charging, the standard speed we see in most vivo budget phones.
For the cameras, we have an 8-megapixel sensor on the front for selfies and a 50-megapixel main one on the back.
It comes with OriginOS 6, which is based on Android 16. As OriginOS is still slowly rolling out globally, select markets may get the FuntouchOS version. It is also IP68/69 dust and water-resistant.
The vivo Y6 5G 8GB/128GB retails for CNY1,799 (~Php15,900), 8GB/256GB for the CNY1,999 (~Php17,800), and CNY2,199 (~Php19,500) for the 12GB/256GB. International release details are yet to be known.
