Google is becoming more confusing again. The company just announced Googlebooks, a new line of laptops that are not Chromebooks, but will instead run on a combination of Android and Chrome OS.
The Google Googlebooks are apparently “designed for Google Intelligence“, which oddly sounds a lot like Apple Intelligence, Apple’s AI suite. The platform will allow Google to move “from an operating system to an intelligence system.”
From what it looks like, this is already the highly anticipated Aluminum OS, as it will be the combination of Chrome OS and “the best of Android”.
That means you can use Android apps on Googlebooks, which can be downloaded on the same Google Play Store. Of course, it will pair and integrate seamlessly with an Android phone.
Google said that they are partnering with prominent laptop brands like ASUS, Lenovo, Acer, Dell, and HP to make the first Googlebooks.
More details about the new breed of Google laptops will be shared soon. Personally, we think its beefed-up Android interface should already be present on Android tablets.
