PLDT Enterprise’s satellite service gains momentum as it deployed nearly 1,000 Starlink units in the first quarter of 2026.
The partnership between PLDT and Starlink started in Q2 of 2025, making the telco giant the first and only local telco to partner with Starlink to offer enterprise broadband services in the Philippines.
Since the partnership started, the collaboration gained strong momentum, and just by the Q1 of 2026 alone, PLDT Enterprise already deployed 1,000 Starlink broadband units to organizations, private and public, across the country.
The use of Starlink’s technology makes a lot of sense in an archipelago like the Philippines. It solves the geographic and roll-out limitations of traditional fiber cables.
“We are encouraged with our Starlink Satellite partnership in delivering high-quality Home and Enterprise broadband all across the country,” said PLDT COO Butch Jimenez. “In a challenging telco environment, timing is key. And we believe now is the right time to deploy satellite broadband services,” he added.
