Rockstar announced that Grand Theft Auto VI will be available for pre-order starting June 25 through the PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, and select physical retailers. The company also published the game’s final cover artwork for the first time.
The roughly 30-second reveal video arranges protagonists Jason and Lucia across a pop-art collage alongside a lineup of additional characters yet to be detailed. A yellow sports car, a helicopter, alligators, and flamingos dot the image — subtle references to the Florida-inspired fictional state of Leonida where the game takes place.
The two trailers that have landed so far, one in 2023 and another in 2025, have accumulated over 400 million views collectively.
GTA 6 arrives on November 19 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, pushed back twice from a planned 2025 launch and again from a May 2026 schedule. No price has been set yet, but analyst firm Epyllion suggested in a 2025 report that the title could be the first mainstream release to hit $100, though Rockstar has not commented on that figure.
The previous installment, GTA 5, came out in 2013 and trails only Minecraft as the best-selling game ever. With the hype surrounding the release of GTA 6, Rockstar Games is expected to have a historic launch soon.
