The impacts of the ongoing RAM shortage are getting more painful. Brands like Apple already announced major price hikes, and now, phones from Xiaomi sub-brand POCO — known to have the most value-oriented phones in the market — are becoming more expensive.

POCO’s X8 Pro series suffered the biggest hit. The POCO X8 Pro Max, which was launched in the Philippines in March for Php25,999, now costs Php11,000 more at Php36,999. Meanwhile, the X8 Pro is now Php7,000 pricier at Php25,999.

The POCO F8 Pro also gets a major price hike. It now retails for Php39,999 from Php29,999 when it came to the Philippines. Meanwhile, the F8 Ultra is now available for Php51,999 from Php39,999.

Even budget-friendly options like the POCO M8 5G (Php15,999 from Php12,999) and the POCO M8 Pro (Php17,999 from Php16,999) are now more expensive. The POCO C85 now starts at Php8,999 from Php5,499, while the POCO C71 now starts at Php5,099 from Php3,699.

These new prices are based on the Xiaomi Philippines website.
