Samsung has unveiled its chic AI smart glasses created in collaboration with Gentle Monster and Warby Parker.
The Samsung AI Smart Glasses were announced alongside the new Galaxy Z Fold8, Fold8 Ultra, and Z Flip8. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon AR1 Gen 1 processor that was made for thin and light glasses, which then runs on the Android XR platform.
You mainly interact with the glasses through a special Google Gemini AI assistant that was retooled for wearables. You can ask it questions and provide additional context clues based on what you and its built-in camera are seeing, or just any other questions you’d normally ask the assistant on your phone.
That camera can also be used for first-person view (FPV) video recording and video calls. Real-time translation is also supported.
You can also interact with the smart glasses through the touch-sensitive temples or through connected devices like your smartphone.
