Samsung has introduced the Galaxy Z Fold8 with a new form factor that looks a lot like the leaked design of the rumored iPhone foldable.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 now has a squarish shape with its 10:16 cover screen, and is meant to make messaging and web browsing more comfortable. The main foldable screen has a 4:3 aspect ratio, and is meant to improve the multitasking experience.
That square cover screen is a 5.5-inch WUXGA+ display, while the main foldable screen is a 7.6-inch QXGA+ display. Both use a Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel with a 1-120Hz refresh rate.
It also features Samsung’s latest Flex Titanium technology that improved display support for a thinner and durable build. If you’re looking for the direct successor to the Galaxy Z Fold7 with a taller screen, you should be looking at the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra. A more compact Galaxy Z Flip8 is also available.
Like the Ultra, it is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, with up to 16GB of RAM, 1TB of storage, and will ship with the latest Android 17-based One UI 9.
It also has two 10-megapixel selfie cameras, a 50-megapixel main shooter, and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide. It lacks the telephoto lens the Ultra has.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 is available in three models in the Philippines: 12GB/256GB for Php109,990, 12GB/512GB for Php123,990, and 16GB/1TB for Php151,990.
