Meta has rolled out a brand-new app called Seller, aimed at people who use Facebook Marketplace frequently to sell goods. The app is designed to turn the platform into a more serious sales tool, moving beyond casual garage-sale style listings.
The main goal of Facebook Seller app is to give users better control over their shops. It includes smart features like automated listing descriptions and price suggestions powered by artificial intelligence. Sellers can also manage all their customer questions from a single inbox, track their stock, and see detailed reports on how their items are performing.
All your existing Marketplace data, including past sales and messages, will move over to the new app automatically. Any item you list using Seller will still show up in the regular Marketplace feed. You can continue to use the old Facebook method if you prefer, but the new app makes juggling multiple products much easier.

The app highlights urgent tasks right on its home screen. For example, it will remind you to ship orders, reply to buyers, or adjust prices that are too high or low. A bulk upload tool also lets you add many products at once, saving time for busy sellers.
Another useful feature is the organized message center. It groups conversations by each product, so you do not have to search through old chats to find a question about a specific item. The analytics section gives you clear numbers on how many people viewed your items, clicked on them, or started a conversation.
This new direction changes the original feel of Marketplace, which started as a friendly neighborhood notice board. By welcoming professional merchants, Meta is following a path similar to other e-commerce sites.
The Facebook Seller app is now live in the United States for anyone aged 18 or older. It works on both Apple and Android phones. Meta is also trying out a browser-based version for those who want to use it on a computer.
