Google has announced tons of new Pixel hardware, including the new Pixel Watch 5.
The Pixel Watch 5 is available in 41mm and 45mm his-and-hers sizes, with a pebble-like rounded AMOLED screen that melts on the sides, and a very bright 3,000-nit peak brightness.
It still uses last year’s Qualcomm Snapdragon W5 Gen 2 processor, albeit Google said it was retuned to be 12% faster. The storage has been doubled to 64GB.
The batteries have been marginally bigger, with the 41mm packing 332mAh and the 45mm having 465mAh. As per the website, the smaller version can last up to 30 hours with Always-On Display on and up to 48 hours with Battery Saver Mode, while the 45mm variant can last up to 40 hours and 72 hours, respectively.
They charge via the included Quick Charge Dock, run on the latest Wear OS 7.0, has built-in microphone and speakers, Corning Gorilla Glass 5, 5ATM water protection, IP68 rating, WiFi 6 connectivity, Bluetooth 6.0, and Ultra Wideband (UWB).
For health and fitness, there’s the multi-path optical heart rate sensor, SpO2 blood oxygen saturation monitoring, skin temperature sensor, and GPS for tracking outdoor workout routes.
The Pixel Watch 5 41mm starts at USD399 (~Php24,500) for the WiFi-only model, while the 45mm starts at USD429 (~Php26,300). They are now available in the United States and select markets. Oh, and there’s a Stephen Curry version with a special strap for USD579.99 (~Php35,600).
It was announced alongside the Pixel 11, 11 Pro, 11 Pro XL, and a new Pixel Fold.
