Framework has released a 2026 update to one of its most popular laptops, the Framework Laptop 12.
The new Framework Laptop 12 is now configurable with a Fedora Linux operating system. A Windows option is still available. This move makes sense, as Framework claims that Fedora-powered Framework laptops are apparently outselling Windows.

Pre-built versions come with an Intel Core Series 3 CPU: Core 3, Core 5, or Core 7, with faster 8GB/16GB/32GB of DDR5 RAM, and 1x M.2 2230 NVMe SSD slot.
Having this latest chip means the laptop now supports two Thunderbolt 4 ports through two of the four hot-swappable expansion cards. You can also include a backlit keyboard and a fingerprint scanner.

The new Framework Laptop 12 has a starting price of USD699 (~Php43,200).
