Plaud has introduced the Plaud One, a pair of earbuds designed specifically for capturing and processing conversations through artificial intelligence.
The Plaud One follows a design similar to Apple’s AirPods, with 12mm drivers and active noise cancellation. The earbuds themselves provide six hours of recording for in-person meetings or three hours of call recording per charge. Combined with the charging case, total battery life reaches 25 hours. The case can pick up voices from up to five meters away and includes an eSIM, which Plaud says lets users interact with its AI assistant without needing a connected phone.
Once conversations are transcribed, Plaud’s AI agent can connect to productivity platforms including Google Calendar, Gmail, Slack, and Notion. From there, it can draft messages, generate documents, or create presentations based on what was discussed. The concept mirrors services like Granola, Fathom, and Read AI, which have offered similar call transcription and automation features for some time. What distinguishes the Plaud One is the hardware’s ability to operate as a standalone recording device, kind of similar to Anker’s Soundcore Liberty 5 Pro Series.
The product launches in limited quantities as a market test. Plaud wants to assess demand before committing to larger production runs of AI-focused earbuds. The company also plans to roll out agentic capabilities in a future update, introducing a credit-based system for various tasks. Early buyers receive $200 in credits to use with these features.
Pricing sits at $249 for the Plaud One itself. Customers receive 300 minutes of free transcription monthly, with additional plans starting at $8.33 per month on an annual basis. The product ships in the fourth quarter of 2026, and preorders are open now.
