TP-Link is leading the charge in the networking revolution by being the first to introduce WiFi 8 routers to the world.
The company launched the first WiFi 8 lineup in the world at IFA 2026, which consists of the TP-Link Archer 8 Ultra router and the TP-Link Deco 8 Ultra mesh system. They support the upcoming IEEE 802.11bn standard, with WiFi 8 chipsets from Qualcomm, Broadcom, and MediaTek.
They feature TP-Link’s StabilityEngine, which helps strengthen coverage, manage congestion, and reduce interference.
They also feature Enhanced Long Range (ELR) and Distributed Resource Units (DRU) to help extend coverage at the edges of the home and improve connectivity to distant and low-power devices.
There’s also the Non-Primary Channel Access (NPCA) that keeps the router responsive despite accommodating multiple devices at once. Meanwhile, the Unequal Modulation (UEQM) and New Modulation and Coding Schemes (MCS) help maintain consistent throughput despite challenging interference conditions.
The TP-Link Archer 8 Ultra BN19000 is a tri-band WiFi 8 router boasting up to 19Gbps of wireless speeds and 10Gbps for wired, and packs 18 internal antennas.
Meanwhile, the TP-Link Deco 8 Ultra BN22000 is a tri-band WiFi 8 mesh system that delivers up to 22Gbps of aggregate wireless speeds and 10Gbps for wired. A three-pack system can cover a home of up to 9,800 sq. ft. and can accommodate up to 200 devices.
The Archer 8 Ultra will be available for pre-order in select markets starting September 30. The Deco 8 will be available in Q1 2027, while a TP-Link Roam 8 travel router will come in Q2 2027, together with Range Extenders and Adapters.
