Arc, a new gaming hardware company based in India, just launched its first handheld gaming console, the Arc X1.
The Arc X1 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon G2 Gen 2 chipset, with 8GB LPDDR5X RAM, and 128GB UFS 3.1 internal storage, with a microSD card slot for expansion. That chip is attached to an active cooling system for extensive gaming sessions.
Like most handhelds, it has a 7-inch display. It’s an IPS panel with an FHD resolution, a wide 16:9 aspect ratio, a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for protection. Audio comes from two front-facing speakers.
Inside is a 9,300mAh battery with 27W wired charging support. As per the company, it can last for up to 8 hours under Silent Mode.
For the controls, it has zero-drift replaceable analog sticks, a D-pad, microswitch ABXY buttons, two programmable rear buttons, and dual Linear Resonant Actuators to provide haptic feedback.
Connectivity includes a USB-C 3.1 port, WiFi 6E, and Bluetooth 5.4. This Android-based console runs on Arc’s OwlOS.
The Arc X1 has a starting price of INR29,500 (~Php19,300) for early buyers and INR33,500 (~Php21,900) starting October 2.
