Chinese smartphone brand Realme unveiled another midrange smartphone, the Realme X50M. The device is the brand’s newest addition in its X50 line and it comes with compelling features. Notably, the device has 5G network support without the hefty price tag.
The Realme X50M features a 6.57-inch IPS LCD screen with a pill-shaped hole at the upper-left corner for the dual-front cameras. It also comes with an impressive 120Hz refresh rate. Meanwhile, its display has 1080×2400 pixel resolution and supports full HD+.
Hardware-wise, Qualcomm Snapdragon 765 chipset powers the handset. The Realme X50M is available in either 6GB or 8GB of RAM and both variants come with 128GB UFS 2.1 of internal storage. When it comes to the software, the device runs the latest Realme UI based Android 10.
At the back of the phone are the four cameras with a 48-megapixel main sensor. There’s also an 8-megapixel super wide camera, a 2-megapixel macro lens, and another 2-megapixel black and white lens. Its rear cameras can shoot 4K at 30fps. Meanwhile, its front camera features a 16-megapixel wide-angle lens and a 2-megapixel depth sensor.

The Realme X50M also has a 4,200mAh battery that supports 30W Dart charging technology. According to Realme, the device may reach up to 70 percent battery in its first 30 minutes of charging. There’s also a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and a face unlock feature. Unfortunately, it doesn’t have a 3.5mm headphone jack nor a microSD card slot.
This latest Realme smartphone is available in two versions. The 6GB+128GB unit retails in China for a price of CNY1,999 (~Php14,300), while the 8GB+128GB model costs CNY2,999 (~Php21,500). Take note that these price conversions are before taxes. Both versions are available in Starry Blue and Galaxy White.
