Meta has joined forces with EssilorLuxottica, the company behind popular eyewear brands, to release a new pair of AI-enabled glasses.

The new Meta Glasses come with a built-in 12-megapixel camera that takes clear photos and records high-quality video. They also have an open-ear sound system and several microphones that pick up your voice for commands, calls, or playing music.

One of the main upgrades is the AI assistant, which now runs on a newer, faster model from Meta. The glasses are designed to be comfortable, with soft nose pads and flexible hinges that adjust to different face shapes.

Battery life lasts about eight hours, and the carrying case can recharge them for up to 40 hours of total use. The glasses connect to your phone using the latest Wi-Fi and Bluetooth standards.

Buyers can pick from three different designs, with over 26 color and lens options. Prescription lenses are also available for those who need them.

The launch, which also aired a TV-like commercial in the World Cup, includes a special fashion-focused version made in partnership with influencer Kylie Jenner. Later this month, the glasses will get new abilities like hands-free photo capture and walking directions.

The price starts at $299 (~Php18,000) for the new Meta Glasses. They are already on sale in several countries across North America, Europe, and Australia. You can find them online at Meta’s website, Amazon, or in stores like Best Buy and Sunglass Hut.
