Ainol made its way into the android market with products that sports the latest Android OS. Now, it seems like they will be doing it again as they have unveiled a cheap Android 4.1 Jelly Bean tablet called as Ainol Novo 7 Crystal. The Crystal will most likely compete with Google Nexus 7 even though it has less powerful specs.

The Ainol Novo 7 Crystal has the usual 7-inch screen but with an IPS LCD display and a 1024×600 pixel resolution. We should take note that the IPS panel is not usually available for cheap tablets so this is a great leap considering that it is also on Jelly Bean. Ainol Novo 7 Crystal will also be sporting a 1.5GHz Amlogic 8726-M6 Cortex A9 dual-core processor, a Mali 400 GPU, 1GB RAM and 8GB of on-board storage (expandable via microSD).

The Novo 7 Crystal will only ship with a Wi-Fi only model but as always, 3G USB dongles can be used to access the web in case there is no Wi-Fi hotspot. Other features include a mini-USB port and mini-HDMI.

So if you’re wondering if this tablet will ever reach the Philippines – Yes, it will! Actually, it is now available through a pre-order as seen on the Facebook page of Ainol’s distributor in the Philippines. The price is only Php5,999 for early buyers and the regular price after October 12 will be Php6,999. Not bad, eh?
