More and more Android Go smartphones are coming out of their shells recently. Now, ASUS joins the fun with the new Zenfone Live L1.

ASUS Zenfone Live L1 is actually the first ever Android Go smartphone from ASUS. It was formally introduced in Indonesia and it’s set to become available in the next two weeks. The company announced that it will be launched in other parts of the world like Europe, but they didn’t give out any additional information yet.

Unlike other Android Go handsets, the Zenfone Live L1 packs decent hardware. There’s the 5.5-inch IPS 18:9 screen with HD+ resolution in frontĀ and a 5-megapixel selfie camera on top. On the flip side, a 13-megapixel shooter resides on the back.

There are two versions of the Zenfone Live L1: 1GB and 2GB RAM models. Unsurprisingly, the one with 1GB of RAM runs on Android Go, while the other is heavily skinned. To be more specific, it’s running on Android 8.1 Oreo with ASUS’ own ZenUI 5.0 skin. It doesn’t have much processing power and multitasking capabilities, considering it’s only equipped with a Snapdragon 425 chipset and a limited amount of RAM.

ASUS has not revealed the pricing information of the Zenfone Live L1 as of the moment.
