Local tech brand Cherry Mobile just launched two new DepEd-compliant tablets for those who are looking for an affordable machine for school. One of those devices is the Aqua Tab S1.
Launched alongside the Superion Tab Pro, the Cherry Mobile Aqua Tab S1 is meant for students, even those who are still learning from home, even without WiFi connectivity as it has 4G LTE connectivity through its dual-SIM port.

Carrying it to campus is quite easy, too, thanks to its compact design. It has a small but still roomy 8-inch display and a decent 5,100mAh battery that should last you for an entire day at school.
Under the hood, it’s powered by a UNISOC SC9863A octa-core processor, paired with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. Not a lot, but it does have a microSD card slot if you want to expand it up to 256GB.

For online classes, it has a 5-megapixel camera on the front for video conferencing, while on the back, there’s an 8-megapixel shooter for taking pictures of notes, shooting video projects, etc.
As for software, it runs on the Android 11 operating system.
