After unveiling the Cherry Mobile Me Vibe last week, Cherry Mobile has announced their newest flagship smartphone – the Cherry Mobile Cosmos One Plus.
As a flagship, the Cosmos One Plus didn’t disappoint. This handset has the 2GHz MT6595M octa-core processor, the updated octa-core chipset from Mediatek which can now compete up to the Snapdragon 801 standards when benchmark scores are compared from popular apps like AnTuTu. Aside from the CPU bump, there’s the upgrade to a whopping 3GB of RAM to make things a little more interesting.
Another innovative feature of the Cherry Mobile Cosmos One Plus is the Dual LTE capability which means you can switch between LTE networks as you wish. This is a solution to those who have different 4Gs available from their home and work place. Of course, you need to have load balance or be subscribed to an LTE promo on both networks to avail of their service.
As the name suggests, this phone is an upgrade and a slightly bigger version of the original One. The design is also similar, which means that it retains the fake leather design on the back (like the Note 3). It has a 5.5-inch LTPS display with Full HD resolution and Gorilla Glass 3 protection. At the back, it’s got the 14-megapixel Sony IMX 214 autofocus camera with backside illuminated sensor. If you’re not aware, it’s the same sensor used on some international high-end android phones like the Nexus 6.
Cherry Mobile Cosmos One Plus Specs
- Android 4.4.2 Kitkat, Lollipop ready
- Dual-SIM, Dual-Standby (microSIM)
- 5.5″ Full HD LTPS IPS display, 1920 x 1080 resolution, 480ppi

If there’s one thing that’s kinda lacking, it’s the battery. 2700mAh doesn’t seem to look like a good fit on its setup. However, we’ll reserve judgement until we can fully review it.
CM Cosmos One Plus will also come with a free smart cover (similar to the Galaxy S5 accessory) which can be used to check the time and notifications.
UPDATE: Here’s our full review of the Cherry Mobile Cosmos One Plus!
You can get your hands on one of the most powerful local smartphone in the country for only Php13,999. It’s a bit pricey but the Cherry Mobile Cosmos One Plus definitely has the balls to go up against the latest high-end Android phones today.
Vega Phones parin panalo!
bitter
e di wow! kups
Parang di sirain ang iphone ah. Just saying, low quality build din ang apple products. And it’s also made in china. I have an ipad, and iphone 4s and they both suck compared to my mipad and oneplus. Total bull$#!+. Bendable apple products.
Im looking forward to that.

inngit lang kayo ang cherry mobile ang nag iisa at proudly made in the philippines…
Nope. It’s still oem from china. Nag-iimport lang ang Cherry mobile at wala silang manufacturing facility dito sa ‘pinas
D po xa made in the Ph. Rebranded po yan from other countries. Usually galing China yung mga OEM na kinukunan nila but they also have some models from India (From Xolo).
sows lollipop ready, maniwala ako
pwede naman hindi ka maniwala eh… pakelam namin sayo
What’s the use of a great specs if its after sales service and phone quality sucks bigtime… Before advertising yoir phones cherry mobile try to show your customers you could have a great after sales service… Coz eventually people will loose trust on this brand if it continue like this bad…
aftersales are for those who don’t take care of their phones. If you take care of your phones then there’s no need for aftersales.
No matter how hard you try to take care of your phones there’s still a chance that something could go wrong. It’s irresponsible not to have proper and capable aftersales. It’s required by law. It’s just the way it is. Even the toughest gadgets break.
Nice specs.. Tatalunin parin yan ni asus zenfone 2
well, monster specs and benchmarks are useless if the phone will conk out in a month or less. like what happened to my CM Apollo.
