Amidst the throngs of gadgets that fought for the spotlight in CES 2015 is the Lenovo A6000, the little smartphone that could. Its specs are entry-level, but it’s expected to have an aggressively cheap price.
The Lenovo A6000 is a 5-inch smartphone with a 720p IPS display. Running under the hood is a Snapdragon 410 processor, which introduces 64-bit computing to the device. (Lenovo’s other CES offerings are also 64-bit devices.) Android 4.4 KitKat comes preinstalled, with a Lenovo Vibe 2.0 UI skin running on top. The A6000 also sports LTE connectivity, Adreno 306 graphics, 1GB of RAM and 8GB internal storage.

The Lenovo A6000 is scheduled to launch first in India for less than Rs10,000, which is around Php7,200 in today’s exchange. The actual price is expected to be even lower, since the A6000 is apparently Lenovo’s answer to the Xiaomi Redmi Note and other competitively priced mobile devices.
