It looks like Cherry Mobile has no plans to stop unveiling new smartphones every week.
Okay, not literally every week, but you get the point. Three days ago, the company has also released the Cherry Mobile J2, another Php2,999 smartphone but running on Android Marshmallow. The two phones are similar in some ways, but they do differ in the camera and battery department. The Flare HD 2 offers 200mAh more than the J2, but it’s still thinner at only 8.3mm.
Cherry Mobile Flare HD 2 Specs
- Android 5.1 Lollipop
- Dual-SIM, Dual Standby
- 1.3GHz quad-core Mediatek 6580 processor
- 1GB RAM
- 8GB internal storage, expandable via microSD up to 64GB
- 8-megapixel rear camera with flash
- 5-megapixel front camera
- GPS, A-GPS
- Dimensions: 143 x 71.5 x 8.3 mm
Comparing the two side by side, I’d rather pick the J2 as this phone won’t probably be updated to Marshmallow anytime soon (or at all).
The Cherry Mobile Flare HD 2 is now available nationwide for only Php2,999.
