Cherry Mobile Flare S quad-core CPU, 4GB ROM, IPS display for only Php4,499

Yet another phone from Cherry Mobile is on its way. For only Php4,499, the Cherry Mobile Flare S is one of the cheapest smartphone to arrive with a quad-core processor.

Though not officially specified, the processor running inside the Cherry Mobile Flare S has four cores, each clocked at 1.3GHz. The screen spans 4 inches diagonally and employs in-plane switching (IPS) technology for wide-angle viewing. The touchscreen is capacitive, though the max number of touch input the device can simultaneously recognize isn’t known. Available shooters are an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera (with flash) and a 0.3-megapixel (VGA) front-facing camera. Internal storage is only 4GB, but we’re expecting microSD support for expansion.

There’s not much else we know about the device, as we have only a user-uploaded poster to base things from. Nevertheless, the Flare S (along with the other upcoming Cherry Mobile handsets) seems like a real deal.
