Gionee has announced the arrival of the Gionee S6s, a mid-range smartphone that competes directly to the Lenovo Vibe K5 Note and Redmi Note 3.
While it’s definitely on part with the two, the Gionee S6s failed to compete in the most important aspect – price. The Lenovo K5 Note starts at only $179 ($202 for 4GB RAM)for the 3GB version, almost $100 cheaper than the S6s. The price difference is insignificant to the Philippines, though, as Lenovo decided to release the Lenovo Vibe K5 Note with a price of Php11,999 ($267).
It features a 5.5-inch Full HD Display that comes with screen flash to help take better selfies. There’s a 13-megapixel rear and 8-megapixel front camera as well as support for microSD card expansion and fingerprint scanner. The phone runs on the now outdated Android 6.0 Marshmallow and it has 3150mAh battery to juice it up.
