Honor has unveiled two new high-end phones, the Honor 60 and 60 Pro.

The new Honor 60 and 60 Pro, despite their midrange chips, offers flagship-level specs and features. For starters, they both use 10-bit OLED panels for better colors, 100% DCI-P3 coverage, HDR10 certification, and a fast 120Hz refresh rate. But to set them apart, the Pro is curved all around, while the vanilla is only curved on the sides. The more expensive model also has HDR10+ certification.

Going with the Pro variant also entitles you to a Snapdragon 778G+ chip as it’s one of the first devices to use it. The non-Pro model settles to last-gen’s Snapdragon 778G chip.

Both the Honor 60 and 60 Pro shares the same 4,800mAh batteries and 66W fast charging. Sadly, no more 100W fast charging support.

The duo also has the same 108-megapixel main cameras, 2-megapixel depth sensors, and ultra-wide cameras. To spice things up, the wide lens on the Pro model has a sharp 50-megapixel sensor, while the non-Pro settles for an 8-megapixel one.

For selfies, the Pro variant only has a single front-facing camera instead of last gen’s dual-camera setup. Don’t fret, as this is quite an interesting one. It has an ultra-sharp 50-megapixel sensor with a 100-degree wide lens. The vanilla variant settles for a 32-megapixel sensor.

Like a lot of camera products today, Honor is posing it as a vlogging device. It even has gesture commands for hands-free controls. As for software, the Honor 60 series will ship with Android 11-based Magic UI 5.0 out of the box. Since it was initially introduced in China, it wouldn’t come with GMS, but the international model should.

The Honor 60 starts at CNY2,699 (around Php21,400) for the 8GB/128GB model, CNY2,999 (around Php23,700) for the 8GB/256GB, and CNY3,299 (around Php26,100) for the 12GB/256GB. The Honor 60 Pro is available in 8GB/256GB and 12GB/256GB for CNY3,699 (around Php29,300) and CNY3,999 (around Php31,700), respectively. The international release for both devices is yet to be known.
