Do you want to enjoy browsing on 5G for hours and hours? Here’s the new HONOR Play 40 Plus 5G, which boasts the latest connectivity standard and an enormous 6,000mAh battery. What’s more, it also has an affordable price.
The HONOR Play 40 Plus 5G gets its next-gen connectivity from the MediaTek Dimensity 700 processor. By using one of the cheapest 5G-equipped chips on the side, it’s quite clear that this is positioned in the entry-level segment.
That said, it’s no surprise that the handset’s display only has an HD+ resolution. On the upside, it does come with a large 6.74-inch size and a smooth 90Hz refresh rate.
On top, we have a selfie camera that’s only 5-megapixels. On the back, there’s the dual ring design that inspired by more premium HONOR and Huawei devices. They hold the sharp 50-megapixel main camera, joined by the obligatory 2-megapixel depth sensor.
Its highlight feature is the 6,000mAh battery, which can easily last you for an entire day of heavy use and possibly two to three for lighter tasks.
It then ships with a 22.5W charger, just like HONOR’s midrange releases, as well as an Android 12-based Magic UI 6.1 interface.
The HONOR Play 40 Plus 5G has a price of CNY1,199 (around Php9,700), CNY1,399 (around Php11,300), and CNY1,599 (around Php12,900) for the 6GB/128GB, 8GB/128GB, and 8GB/256GB models, respectively. It’s not clear if it will make it to the Philippines, but they are now available in China. In the meantime, you can check all the other HONOR devices available in the country.
