HONOR just brought the new HONOR X5 Plus and HONOR X6a to the Philippines. These are entry-level devices with sharp cameras and large batteries.
The duo are essentially the same. Both the HONOR X5 Plus and X6a have 5,200mAh batteries, 50-megapixel main cameras, 5-megapixel on the front, the same 6.56-inch HD+ displays with a high 90Hz refresh rate, and, more importantly, they share the same MediaTek Helio G36 processors with 4GB of RAM.
But being the more expensive model, the HONOR X6a has a faster 22.5W charging, versus the X5 Plus’s 10W adapter. It also has double the storage capacity at 128GB, while the latter settles for 64GB.
The upper-class model also gets to have a 2-megapixel macro lens, which is missing in the cheaper model.
You can get the HONOR X6a for a price of Php6,990 while the HONOR X5 Plus retails for Php5,990 (Php5,490 until October 8). They are available on HONOR concept stores, kiosks, and resellers, and via its online outlets. If you want something fancier, the company also launched the HONOR 90 Lite in the country.
