HUAWEI revolutionizes the smartphone market once again with the Pura X — a foldable that combines book-style and clamshell foldable designs.
The HUAWEI Pura X has a 6.3-inch foldable screen with a 16:10 aspect ratio in a portrait orientation. It’s like a flip phone but wider. This unique form factor allows for a wider 3.5-inch squarish cover screen and the triple cameras in a horizontal orientation.
Both displays use LTPO OLED panels with a high 120Hz refresh rate, and the main foldable screen boasts 2500 nits of peak brightness.
Since it’s a HUAWEI phone, photography is a big deal. It has a 50-megapixel main shooter that uses an RYYB sensor and has optical image stabilization. It is joined by a 40-megapixel RYYB ultra-wide glass and an 8-megapixel telephoto with 3.5x optical zoom.
It then has a 4,720mAh battery with support for 66W wired and 40W wireless charging. The teardrop-style hinge is here, which his made of 1900 MPa space-grade materials
Sadly, HUAWEI didn’t disclose what processor they used on this one.
The HUAWEI Pura X has a price of CNY7,499 (~Php59,300) for the 12GB/256GB, CNY7,999 (~Php63,300) for the 12GB/512GB, CNY8,999 (~Php71,200) for the 16GB/512GB, and CNY9,999 (~Php79,100) for the 16GB/1TB. They are now available in China with international release details yet to be announced.
