Itel has introduced yet another budget-friendly smartphone. It’s called the Itel P55T and it has one bragging right: being the first smartphone to run on Android 14 Go edition.

As you already know, Android Go edition operating systems are toned-down versions of Android made to run efficiently on entry-level phones, much like the Itel P55T. It also features Itel’s Dynamic Island-like feature called Dynamic Bar.

A power-friendly chipset is indeed a necessity since the P55T only comes with a UNISOC T606 octa-core processor, with only 4GB of RAM, but a decent 128GB of expandable storage.

There’s a standard 6.56-inch IPS display on the front with only an HD+ resolution.

An acceptable 8-megapixel selfie camera is on the top of the display, while on the back we have a 50-megapixel main camera joined by the obligatory AI sensor.

Besides the OS, another main highlight of the P55T is the large 6,000mAh battery. With its humble display and processor, getting two to three days of juice on a single charge should be easy. Albeit, expect long charging hours with the 18W adapter.

The Itel P55T is listed on Amazon and Flipkart in India for a price of INR8,199 (~Php5,500). No word yet if it’s ever coming to the Philippines.
