Motorola has introduced the Moto G22, a new budget phone that features a pretty unique design.
The Motorola Moto G22 has a refreshing camera island design on the back with pebble-like circles for the lenses. It’s the home to its sharp 50-megapixel main camera, 8-megapixel ultra-wide, and two 2-megapixel sensors for macro and depth analysis.
On the front, you can spot the 6.5-inch HD+ screen with a high 90Hz refresh rate. Motorola went with a punch-hole in the middle for the 16-megapixel camera, resulting in a cleaner look.
Under the hood, the device is powered by MediaTek Helio G37 octa-core processor, a new chipset made for gaming that houses eight Cortex-A53 cores with the half clocked at 2.3GHz while the other at 1.8GHz.
As standard with a lot of budget phones, the G22 comes with a 5,000mAh battery, which should last longer than some of the competition since it only has an HD+ screen. It will only ship with a 10W charger to juice it up, but it can support 15W adapters if you have one.
The Moto G22 runs on the latest Android 12 operating system. Like a lot of its cousins, the device has a water-repellent design thanks to its acrylate polymer material.
Expect the Motorola Moto G22 to arrive in Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East in the next few weeks. European customers can now get the device for EUR169.99 (around Php9,700).
