If there’s anything I hated about the original Nokia X, it’s that it lacked a “home” button. Sure, you could do a long press on the single “back” button, but too many people are already used to the “home” button, whether on the iOS or Android platform. So when the Nokia X2 finally came out, the “home” button was the first thing I looked for. And yay, it has one!

Of course, the new “home” button isn’t the only thing the Nokia X2 has to offer. It now features a larger 4.3 inch WVGA ClearBlack screen, up from the 4 inch screen of its predecessor. It also comes with an upgraded dual core Snapdragon 200 processor that features Cortex A7 cores, not the Cortex A5 cores of the original Nokia X. Rounding up the key specs is 1GB RAM, 4GB of internal storage, a 5mp autofocus camera with LED flash, and a VGA front camera, another feature the original didn’t come with.

Nokia X2 Back

The Nokia X2 will come in a variety of colors. You can initially get it in glossy green, orange and black, then glossy yellow, white, and matte grey later on. It will be available at an SRP of €99 and should reach our shores soon, although there’s no specific release date for the Philippines just yet.
