OPPO just announced its most powerful and feature-packed smartphone to date, the OPPO Find X8 Ultra.
The OPPO Find X8 Ultra has not one, not three, but four 50-megapixel cameras. The main one is a 1-inch Sonly LYT-900 sensor — the biggest sensor you can find on any current smartphone.
It then has two periscope shooters. There’s one with an LYT-700 1/1.56-inch sensor with 3x zoom at 70mm and a brighter f/2.1 aperture. The other uses a 1/1.95-inch LYT-600 sensor with 6x zoom at 135mm and f/3.1 aperture.
Finally, we have a 1/2.74-inch LYT-506 sensor for the ultra-wide lens with an f/2.4 aperture. A 32-megapixel shooter is on the front for selfies. The hardware is partnered with OPPO’s latest HyperTone Image Engine, which improves low-light performance. It also got OPPO’s AI tone mapping, ProXDR engine, 4K@20fps slow-mo, and Dolby Vision video recording.
OPPO introduced its new True Chroma camera, which better analyzes color temperature. It works with Hasselblad-tuned processing for better skin tones under different lighting scenarios.
The Find X8 Ultra has two new physical buttons. The Shortcut button on the top left is customizable, while the Quick Button on the bottom right is primarily used for the camera.
Moving on from the cameras, the OPPO Find X8 Ultra has a large 6,100mAh battery with an appropriate 100W wired and 50W wireless charging. Reverse wireless charging is also supported.
A large 6.82-inch LTPO OLED screen is on the front, and under the hood, we have the mighty Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset running the show with 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage. OPPO also highlighted how it’s the thinnest flagship cameraphone at just 8.78mm.
First available in China this April 16, the OPPO Find X8 Ultra retails for CNY6,499 (~Php50,800) for the 12GB/256GB, CNY6,999 (~Php54,700) for the 16GB/512GB, and CNY7,999 (~Php62,500) for the 16GB/1TB model.
