The OPPO Reno10 series 5G has made its way to the Philippines. There’s one model for every price range, and for today, we’ll be taking a look at the fanciest of the three: the flagship portrait expert: the Reno10 Pro+ 5G.

Just like the Reno10 5G and Reno10 Pro 5G, the OPPO Reno 10 Pro+ 5G promises top-notch photography capabilities, a stunning display, chic design, fast charging, and more importantly, dependable performance.

The Reno line-up has always been known for their camera prowess, and the Reno10 series 5G is definitely no different. For this year’s line-up, the brand is getting more serious on Portraits.

With the Reno10 Pro+ 5G, we’re getting a sharp 64-megapixel telephoto portrait camera that specializes in taking portraits of people and other subjects.

The sensor itself has a large ½-inch size behind a telephoto lens that can do 3x optical zoom, which ensures the subject will be the primary focus by removing any distractions from the foreground.

It also keeps the background intact, so the focus would really stay on the subject. Plus, compared to manually closing in on the subject using the main 1x lens, using the 3x lens frees the image from annoying distortions.

You can also play with the different Portrait Mode filters to make your next profile photo or Instagram shot look more dramatic, fun, or playful. OPPO also developed a special AI Depth algorithm so the bokeh effect looks more DSLR-like and realistic.

The device also has OPPO’s Pro Portrait Mode feature that allows you to shoot stunning pro-level portrait with just one click. Plus, since it’s a Pro feature, it offers extra level of control so you can toggle and play around the aperture, bokeh, and bokeh flare effects.

More than portraits, its 64-megapixel camera can also take good looking images. Thanks to the sharp sensor, it can do up to 120x of digital zoom and comes with an optical image stabilization (OIS) so you can take photos of really faraway subjects easily, even handheld.

Of course, there’s also the 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 main camera, which also has OIS, and comes with a dedicated 13-channel color temperature sensor. It can take professional-looking images with flagship-level clarity, vibrant but still realistic colors, and great dynamic range.

The sensor’s capabilities are better tested in low-light. Paired with the robust software enabled by the Night Mode on the camera app, images at night or indoors look extra bright and vibrant with little to no visible noise. In fact, you can even crop in to better frame your photo and still get a clean image.

The camera on the front is as equally interesting as those on the back. A punch-hole on the screen holds the 32-megapixel IMX709 selfie camera that comes with autofocus capability. It lets you take selfies with the right skin tones, enough exposure even in low light, and clean dynamic range.

The front camera also has a portrait mode, with adjustable background blur if you want to remove any distraction. You can also play with OPPO’s beautification and touchup features that apply the effect in real-time before you take the shot.

The images also look extra stunning with the Reno10 Pro+ 5G’s ProXDR display — a feature that makes photos appear more realistic. It kinda feels like you’re really there in the moment.

To see how the image would look on other devices, there’s a ProXDR toggle in the image preview that you can easily switch on or off.

The display itself uses a large and sharp 6.74-inch Full HD+ AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, 1400-nits peak brightness, and HDR10+ support. Watching and making content on here is really enjoyable and immersive because, well, it’s the best display on any Reno device ever.

It also has curved corners that add an extra premium look. The same can be seen on the back thanks to the 3D Curved design, which also provides noticeable comfort in the hands. The device is only 8.28mm thin and only weighs 194g, making it really nice to hold, even with the free case on.

Available in two colors, the Reno10 Pro+ 5G looks great in either the Glossy Purple, or the color that we have: Silvery Gray. Despite its muted color, the proprietary OPPO Glow design really shimmers as it reacts to light. The velvet soft finish and the sophisticated camera layout complete the whole look.

The flagship-level cameras, display, and design are paired with an equally impressive Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 octa-core processor. It can easily handle any task you throw at it: shooting 4K videos, editing content, catching up on social media, emails, and a whole lot more.

It is paired with 12GB of RAM for exceptional multitasking, so you can get back to any app the way you left it. There’s also the ultra-fast 256GB UFS 3.1 storage that lets you store thousands of photos and videos with blazing transfer speeds.

All this hardware combined results in uncompromised performance, but still with impressive battery efficiency.

The Reno10 Pro+ 5G has a decent 4,700mAh battery, which should last you for an entire day of light to moderate use. In addition, it has OPPO’s Battery Health Engine that extends the battery’s overall lifespan for about 4 years.

But if you run out of juice, it’s ultra-fast 100W SUPERVOOC charger — the fastest on a Reno device ever —  can push you back to 50% with just a quick 10-minute charge. A full 100% charge takes less than 20 minutes.

OPPO also developed a special SUPERVOOC S Power Management Chip. This single chip houses six different power management tools that results in class-leading 99.5% discharge efficiency.

These are the pro-level features you can expect with the new Portrait Expert, the OPPO Reno10 Pro+ 5G, which has a price tag of Php39,999 in the Philippines. It’s now available for pre-order until August 10 in select OPPO Concept Stores nationwide, where you can get a free Enco Buds 2 valued at Php1,999.

MyOPPO app users can also get exclusive vouchers when they upgrade their old OPPO device to the new Reno10 series 5G.
