POCO has introduced a new entry-level smartphone, the POCO C71, as we enter the second quarter of the year.
The POCO C71 arrives after the POCO F7 series and M7 Pro, although release details in the Philippines are yet to be known. First available in India, the device is powered by a UNISOC T7250 Max processor, with up to 6GB of RAM, and 128GB of storage.
POCO highlights that it has the biggest display with a 120Hz refresh rate in its segment. It is 6.88 inches large but only has an HD+ resolution and 600 nits of peak brightness. It also has a Wet Touch Display support and TUV Rheinland certification for Low Blue Light emission, Flicker-Free, and Circadian.
Like most phones, POCO is making a big deal about its IP52-rated durability, having subjected to 500,000x fingerprint strikes, 300 cycles of roller test, and 20,000x for the headphone jack and USB-C port.
The battery has a 5,200mAh capacity, which can last for up to 14 hours of video streaming or 7 days on standby. It comes with a 15W charger and a 3-year guarantee to retain 80% of its battery health.
We have a 32-megapixel main camera, an auxiliary lens, and an 8-megapixel camera for selfies. It ships with Android 15 and is guaranteed to receive two years of Android upgrades and security patches.
The POCO C71 will be available in India starting April 8 for a price of INR6,499 (~Php4,300) for the 4GB/64GB and INR7,499 (~Php5,020) for the 6GB/128GB.
