POCO has unveiled two new X-series devices. Both models have a set of impressive specs, so for today, we’ll be first taking a look at the X5 Pro 5G.
Announced alongside the vanilla X5 5G, the POCO X5 Pro 5G is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G octa-core processor with a capable Adreno 642L GPU for games and can be had with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
Boasting a few flagship-level specs, the X5 Pro 5G has a premium 6.67-inch Flow AMOLED screen with an FHD+ pixel resolution. As expected, it has a 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate. It also offers 10-bit color, DCI-P3 coverage, 900-nits peak brightness, and a feature we’re seeing on a lot of premium phones lately, 1,920Hz PWM for eye protection.
Besides the visuals, it also has impressive audio as it managed to get a stereo speaker setup and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
On the back, there’s an ultra-sharp 108-megapixel 1/1.52-inch sensor, joined by an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 2-megapixel macro. A punch-hole on the screen holds the 16-megapixel selfie snapper.
Thanks to the powerful chipset, it can shoot 4K videos, and taking pictures is 69% faster compared to its predecessor.
Like most phones, it has a 5,000mAh non-removable battery paired with another flagship-like feature, 67W fast charging.
Connectivity includes WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, and NFC for select countries. The device is also the thinnest in the entire POCO X series measuring only 7.9mm.
The POCO X5 Pro 5G is available in the Philippines in 6GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB variants for an SRP of Php16,999 and Php18,999, respectively. From February 7 to 13, you can get them at an early bird price of Php15,659 and Php17,569, respectively, at POCO’s LazMall and ShopeeMall stores. The first 2,000 buyers will take home a free smartwatch valued at Php1,599.
