The realme 12 series is now complete with the introduction of the vanilla model, the realme 12 5G.
Joining the realme 12 Plus, 12 Pro Plus, and 12 Pro is the realme 12 5G, which is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ octa-core processor, with 128GB of storage, and an option between 6GB and 8GB of RAM.
On the front, we have a large 6.72-inch IPS display with an FHD+ resolution and a high 120Hz refresh rate. A punch-hole is on top for the 8-megapixel selfie camera.
The rear’s design is very similar to the realme 12 Plus. It has a leather-like look with a watch-like camera island that houses the sharp 108-megapixel ISOCELL HM6 sensor that can do 3x zoom. Sadly, it lacks an ultra-wide lens, but do come with a 2-megapixel depth sensor.
Keeping the lights on is a 5,000mAh battery with 45W fast charging. The Android 14-based realme UI handles software. Plus, the device is incredibly thin at only 7.7mm.
One cool feature is the Dynamic Button, which we may see on more realme devices soon. It’s a physical button that lets you access one of the seven programmable shortcuts like enabling Do Not Disturb mode, and launching the camera, and flashlight.
The realme 12 5G has a price of INR16,999 (~Php11,400) and INR17,999 (~Php12,100) for the 6GB/128GB and 8GB/128GB models, respectively. It is now available in India, with release details in the Philippines yet to be known.
