Xiaomi has introduced a new entry-level phone, the Redmi 17C.
The Redmi 17C 5G is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor, with 4GB of RAM, and an option between 64GB and 128GB of UFS 2.2 internal storage, expandable via microSD.

On the front, there’s an enormous 6.9-inch IPS display with an HD+ resolution, with 120Hz refresh rate, and 810-nit peak brightness.
An 8-megapixel selfie camera is on top, with a 50-megapixel main shooter on the back.

Keeping the lights on is the usual 6,000mAh battery, with support for 33W wired charging. The device is also IP64 dust- and water-resistant.
It ships with Android 16-based HyperOS 3. Xiaomi hasn’t confirmed how long they will be supporting this device.

The Redmi 17C 5G is now listed in Singapore for SGD279 (~Php13,500).
