Samsung has unveiled the Galaxy M44 — or Galaxy Jump 3 as what it’s called in South Korea — that features an interesting processor choice.

The Galaxy M series are poised to be bang-for-the-buck midrange phones. But, things may be a little different with the Samsung Galaxy M44, as it is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor. It kinda makes sense to see this chip on a midrange device now considering that it’s almost three years old, albeit using an old flagship chip to a current budget device is rarely heard of.

That said, the rest of the specs suggest that it is indeed a midrange phone. That means no OLED screens or telephoto lenses — it didn’t even get an ultra-wide camera.

What we have here is a decent 6.58-inch FHD+ LCD display, but it does have a high 120Hz refresh rate.

A waterdrop notch on top holds the 13-megapixel selfie camera, while on the back, we have a 50-megapixel main shooter joined by two 2-megapixel sensors. Keeping the lights on is a 5,000mAh battery with the charging speed unknown.
