Sony has a new budget-friendly phone with interesting specs and a small yet tall display. Check out the new Sony Xperia 10 VI.
The new Sony Xperia 10 VI has been upgraded to the more powerful and modern Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 processor and starts with an 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage variant.
Those who like small phones will appreciate its compact 6.1-inch FHD+ AMOLED screen. However, it lacks a high refresh rate as it can only do 60Hz. On the upside, Sony did say that the stereo speakers are now louder and clearer. It also uses Sony’s Trilluminos color technology similar to its smart TVs and is protected by the premium Corning Gorilla Glass Victus.
Sony also skipped the punch-hole that we usually see on phones today. Instead, we have a uniform, albeit slightly thicker, top and bottom bezels, with the former holding the 8-megapixel selfie camera.
Sadly, Sony has removed the 2x telephoto lens that its predecessor has. But, the fancy 48-megapixel main camera should make up for that as it offers 2x zoom with a 52mm equivalent, which is great for portraits. It also has optical image stabilization and is paired with the same 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens.
Despite its smaller size, it still has a 5,000mAh battery like what other bigger phones have. Charging is done by the 30W adapter.
The Sony Xperia 10 VI will be available in the United Kingdom for a price of EUR399 (~Php25,100) in June. No word yet if it’s coming to other markets like the Philippines.
