We’re halfway through the year and just about every local phone brand has launched their respective flagship octa-core offering. Curiously enough, Torque doesn’t yet have one on the market, but that should change pretty soon now that we’ve learned of their upcoming Torque Droidz Marvel FHD.
The Droidz Marvel FHD is a bit of a mouthful, but the specs aren’t anything to sneeze at. It features a 1.7GHz octa-core processor, 5 inch Full HD IPS display, 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage. It’s also equipped with an 18mp primary camera and 8mp front camera. The device hasn’t officially been announced yet, but it will hit the market with a price tag of Php12,499.
It’s certainly competitive in terms of specs and pricing, although there is little to make it stand out. One big selling point though is that the Torque Droidz Marvel FHD runs Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box. This is quite an advantage when you consider that a few of the octa-core offerings from other local brands are still stuck on some version of Jelly Bean.
