After first unveiling the S17e a few days ago, vivo went ahead and announced the rest of the S17 series. There’s the S17T and the one we’ll take a look at today, the vanilla S17 and S17 Pro.
The vivo S17 and S17 Pro both have 10-bit OLED displays with 120Hz refresh rates and shares the same ultra-sharp 50-megapixel front cameras with dual soft LED flash, 4,600mAh batteries, and even the same 80W charging. Clearly, these guys mean serious business.
Now, for their differences. The S17 is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G+ octa-core processor, while the S17 Pro comes with a more powerful Dimensity 8200 chipset.
They then have 50-megapixel IMX766V sensors with OIS, similar to what the V27 5G has. But being the Pro model, it gets to have a 12-megapixel portrait sensor with 2x optical zoom. The two of them will have 8-megapixel ultra-wide lenses and a ring LED flash.
The vivo S17 has a starting price of CNY2,499 (~Php19,800) for the 8GB/256GB while the S17 Pro begins at CNY3,099 (~Php24,500) for the 8GB/256GB. They will be available in China starting June 8.
