vivo has introduced the new X200 series, which starts with the vanilla vivo X200.
We’ll be talking about the X200 Pro and X200 Pro mini in a separate article. This time, we’ll focus on the vivo X200, which is powered by the all-new flagship chip from MediaTek, the Dimensity 9400.
This new chip has the 2nd-gen 3nm chip design with a 3.6GHz Cortex-X925 prime core. The chip can be paired with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage.
It now has a much bigger battery of 5,800mAh versus its predecessor’s 5,000mAh. This is vivo’s BlueBolt technology, which has a higher density despite the smaller size. It is paired with a 90W charging, oddly downgraded from the last generation’s 120W.
On the front, we have a 6.67-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a 120Hz variable refresh rate, a whopping 4,500 nits of peak brightness, and a feature called ZEISS Natural Color that claims to have industry-leading color accuracy.
It will ship with the latest Android 15-based OriginOS 5 version. It also has an IP69 rating for dust and water resistance.
The vivo X200 has a 50-megapixel 1/1.56-inch Sony IMX921 sensor with a ZEISS f/1.57″ lens and a ZEISS T* coating.
There’s also a 50-megapixel IMX882 sensor with a 70mm telephoto lens and another 50-megapixel sensor for the 15mm ultra-wide camera.
The vivo X200 is now up for pre-order in China and will be available on October 19. The 12GB/256GB retails for CNY4,299 (~Php34,900), 12GB/512GB for CNY4,699 (~Php38,100), 16GB/512GB for CNY4,999 (~Php40,600), while the 16GB/1TB retails for CNY5,499 (~Php44,600). It’s confirmed to arrive in the Philippines, with the launch date set to be announced soon.
