Looking for an entry-level smartphone? vivo just introduced the Y01A in Thailand and may soon also arrive in the Philippines.
Like a lot of budget smartphones, it only has the standard 6.51-inch screen with an HD+ resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels. A waterdrop notch is on top of the 5-megapixel selfie camera.

On the back, we only have a single 8-megapixel main camera joined by an LED flash.
Under the hood, it is powered by a MediaTek Helio P35 octa-core processor, joined by a 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage that’s expandable via microSD.

With its underpowered hardware, the Y01A runs on the power-efficient Android 11 GO Edition, but still with vivo’s FunTouchOS 11.1 interface on top.
Like most phones, it comes with a 5,000mAh battery. Albeit it only has a 10W charger but didn’t get to have a fingerprint scanner.

The vivo Y01A was launched in Thailand for a price of THB3,999 (around Php6,400). Its release details in other markets like the Philippines are yet to be confirmed.
