vivo Philippines brings yet another entry-level smartphone in the country. Meet the vivo Y16, joining the growing Y-series of devices in the brand’s lineup.

The new vivo Y16 shares a very identical design to the Y35 that just came out a week ago. It even has similar color options with the Drizzling Gold variant and the Sparkling Starlight. However, this one has a toned-down set of specs to accommodate the cheaper price tag.

That said, the Y16 is powered by an aging MediaTek Helio P35 octa-core processor, aided by a decent 4GB of RAM and an option between a generous 64GB or 128GB of storage.

On the front, we the usual 6.51-inch LCD screen with a resolution of, you guessed it, only HD+ at 1600 x 720 pixels. A waterdrop notch on top holds the 5-megapixel selfie snapper.

Around the back, there’s a 13-megapixel main shooter joined by a 2-megapixel camera that thankfully has a macro lens instead of just being a depth sensor.

It ships with a 10W charger to juice up its 5,000mAh battery. At the helm of everything is the Android 12-based Funtouch OS 12.

  1. Hey there! I really enjoyed your post about the Vivo Y16—it’s exciting to see how it caters to gaming enthusiasts in the Philippines. The 5000mAh battery is a game changer for long sessions! I remember getting my first budget smartphone and feeling limited by performance, but devices like this are bridging that gap. It’s refreshing to find something that offers solid specs without breaking the bank. If anyone’s curious about games that run well on mid-range phones
