Xiaomi jumped the gun when they put the Mi A2 Lite up for sale in AliExpress, way before it gets an official release. But now, the device gets the welcome it deserves as Xiaomi officially launches it in Spain.

The Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite has a lot of similarities to the regular Mi A2, which was announced alongside it. But since it’s the “Lite” version, it comes with toned-down specs.

With that, we’re only getting a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor on the Mi A2 Lite, which is actually not a bad compromise from the Snapdragon 660 chipset that we saw on the Mi A2.

The memory and storage configurations have been downgraded, too. The Mi A2 Lite comes with either 3GB/32GB and 4GB/64GB configurations. But on the upside, it has an identical 5.84-inch FHD+ display.

Xiaomi used an underwhelming 5-megapixel shooter on the front, while on the back there’s a 12-megapixel + 5-megapixel dual rear camera setup. Of course, it has AI features such as Portrait Mode and Smart Beauty. In addition, the primary camera can also shoot 4K videos.

On the upside, the Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite is equipped with a much bigger 4,000mAh battery. It also runs on Android One operating system and is part of the Project Treble program.
