Xiaomi brought out the MIX Flip 2 as the highlight of its recent jam-packed event in China.
The Xiaomi MIX Flip 2 picked up where the first MIX Flip left off and polished everything. For one, it now has an improved hinge that uses a three-link, four-float plate structure that ensures it stays flat when closed while minimizing creases.
It has a slightly bigger screen as it now stretches into the bezels. The main foldable display still uses a 6.86-inch panel. Both displays have up to a 120Hz refresh rate and have 3,200-nit peak brightness.
Xiaomi has upgraded the battery to 5,165mAh from 4,780mAh. We also have impressive charging speeds for wired and wireless at 67W and 50W, respectively.
They have also replaced the telephoto lens with a 50-megapixel ultra-wide shooter. The main camera uses a 50-megapixel 1/1.55-inch sensor. A 32-megapixel selfie camera is on the front.
It also has the latest WiFi 7 standard, dual-band GPS, side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and Android 15-based HyperOS 2. Sadly, there’s still no ingress protection for dust and water resistance.
What’s more interesting are the colorways. It’s available in Checkered Gold, Green, Purple, and White.
But, there are custom edition models with colorways that match the latest Xiaomi YU7 EV.
The Xiaomi MIX Flip 2 is available in China in 12GB/256GB, 12GB/512GB, and 16GB/1TB models with prices of CNY5,999 (~Php47,400), CNY6,499 (~Php51,300), and CNY7,299 (~Php57,600), respectively. No confirmation yet as to when it will arrive in the Philippines and other markets.
