Spotify has arrived in the Philippines as an exclusive partner of Globe, delivering an online music streaming service to the country.

Available in several mobile platforms (download links below), Spotify has over 30 million songs—many of which boasts up to 320kbps audio quality—for Filipino users to enjoy. That even includes songs by our local artists! The Spotify app is free to use on mobile devices, while a premium pricing of Php129 per month is also available for uninterrupted (no ads) and offline listening. A web player can be accessed at

Globe subscribers can also avail of Spotify through the upcoming GoSURF data plan. Starting April 13, prepaid users can register to GoSURF10 for only Php10 for 10MB of data and 24-hour access to Spotify. Other rates are also available: for postpaid, there’s GoSURF 299 for 700MB of data and one month of Spotify Premium access. GoSURF999 also offers Spotify Premium and 5GB of data.

Peter Bithos of Globe said, “… customers will have music to discover right at their fingertips with Spotify, and sharing music with all their friends is just but a click away.”

Smart also recently made a similar move, partnering with Deezer to provide a digital music service for its subscribers.
