Online security is one of the biggest problems in the modern world. This is why a lot of people uses different browsers to protect their privacy when surfing the web. And while there’s a lot of available web browsers for PC and Mac, there’s only a handful of them in the mobile space.

And that’s where the new Tor browser for Android comes into the picture. Released just recently on Android, Tor allows users to safely browse the web without being tracked or being harmed by any cybercriminals.

The Tor browser uses different networks to redirect your traffic, so your web activity wouldn’t be tracked. To be able to do this, the Tor browser requires a separate proxy app called Orbot.

However, since this is just an Alpha release, the company will eventually have Orbot’s feature built-in on the Tor browser itself, so you don’t have to download a separate app for it to work.

The Tor browser can block trackers by isolating any website that you visit. It will also automatically clear any cookies once you’ve finished browsing.

Also, it prevents anyone from seeing what websites you are visiting, protecting you against surveillance. Tor will also make all users look the same, so no one can name you based on your device’s specs and information.

And for extreme precautions, the Tor browser features a multi-layered encryption. Your traffic is encrypted and relayed three times over the Tor network.

The most interesting part is, the Tor browser for Android is completely free. You can head on to the Google Play store and tap Install.
