Bose has announced two new open-ear earbuds. The Ultra Open Earbuds are the flagship model, while the Sport Open Earbuds are the cheaper option.
The Bose Ultra Open Earbuds feature a new driver for deeper bass and higher volume than the first generation. They support Snapdragon Sound, aptX Adaptive, SpeechClarity, and Auto Volume. A Cinema Mode powered by Bose TrueSpatial creates a wider soundstage. Battery life is 9 hours, with 19.5 more from the wireless charging case.
On the other hand, the Bose Sport Open Earbuds are built for running and outdoor activities. They have textured buttons, custom dynamic drivers, and Auto Volume. They are IP54 rated for dust, sweat, and splashes. Battery life is 7 hours, with 22 more from the case.
Both use Bluetooth 5.4, support multipoint pairing, Google Fast Pair, Spotify Tap shortcuts, and voice assistant access. A future update will add Google Find Hub, Alexa+, and Apple Music shortcuts.
The Bose Sport Open Earbuds is priced at $199 (~Php12,500) and the Bose Ultra Open Earbuds cost $299 (~Php18,700).
